On the morning of June 25th, Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, attended the opening ceremony of 2025 Summer Davos Forum in Tianjin and delivered a speech. President of Ecuador Daniel Noboa, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Senegal Ousmane Sonko, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, as well as over 1,700 representatives from more than 90 countries and regions also presented at the opening ceremony.

Wen Shugang, Chairman of China Huaneng Group, engaged in a series of forum events including the opening ceremony, roundtable discussion between Premier Li Qiang and business representatives, roundtable discussion between Chinese state-owned enterprise representatives and World Economic Forum President & CEO Børge Brende. Wen Shugang also held talks with Wang Xinwei, Governor of Liaoning Province, and met with Mohammad Abunayyan, Chairman of ACWA Power.

On June 24th, Wen Chugang published an article titled Powering the Future: Energy Transition Empowering Green Development on the official website of the World Economic Forum.

Founded in 1971, the World Economic Forum is also known as the Davos Forum since it was first held in Davos, Switzerland. In September 2007, the first Summer Davos Forum, also known as the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of New Champions, was held in Dalian. Since then, it has been held alternately in Dalian and Tianjin. 2025 Summer Davos Forum was themed with "Entrepreneurship for a New Era", gathering 1,700 leaders from the business sector, government, social organizations, academia, international organizations, innovation fields and the media, to  discuss pioneering solutions to global challenges.
